Over 40 Years of Pattern Making

Founded in 1980 by Michael Youngs, our family-run business was built on a foundation of master engineering. Michael began his career at just 21, honing his craft as a traditional pattern maker at the historic engineering firm, Laurence & Scott in Norwich.

In 2000, the company evolved into a father-son partnership when Mikey joined the team, bringing specialised expertise from his automotive pattern and model-making apprenticeship. The family lineage was completed in 2013 when Michael’s eldest son, Robin, brought his skills to the workshop.

Excellence and Professionalism

Following Michael’s retirement in 2022, the brothers proudly carry forward their father’s legacy, combining decades of traditional craft with modern tooling to manufacture high-quality foundry patterns and casting moulds for industries across the UK.

Today, Mikey and Robin specialise in manufacturing high-precision casting patterns for foundries across a diverse range of sectors. By combining traditional master craftsmanship with modern 3D printing, we offer versatile solutions for both complex prototypes and production tooling.  Our expertise spans heavy industry, heritage restoration, and high-performance engineering, including key industries such as:

FOUNDRY PATTERNS • CASTING MOULDS • MODEL MAKING • 3D PRINTING • CORE BOXES • PRODUCTION RUNS • AUTOMOTIVE • MOTORSPORT • MARINE ENGINEERING • LOCOMOTIVE & RAIL • HERITAGE & RESTORATION • ARCHITECTURAL CASTING • HEAVY INDUSTRIAL FOUNDRIES
